Yamaha APX700II Acoustic-Electric Guitar, finished in Sandburst, upgrades and improves the superb APX700 solid top range of Electro Acoustic Guitars. Yamaha APX700II Black features completely new electronics, a new pick-up and cosmetics including an ivory binding and upgraded headstock finish. Whilst retaining all of the best of the previous model the new improved APX700II delivers a classic tone for on stage or backstage. The original Yamaha APX700II Acoustic-Electric Guitar was launched way back in 1987, Yamaha’s APX range was designed to be the ultimate performance electro-acoustic guitar – combining great on-stage tone thanks to a unique body design and the latest pickup and preamp technology with incredible on-stage comfort. Joined later by the bigger bodied CPX series, designed to give a fuller, louder unplugged tone and a different look and voice, the combined ranges have defined the benchmark for electro-acoustic for over 20 years.

The 700 series guitars feature styling and specification driven by the 1000-series guitars but with the exclusive ART pickup system. Designed to capture the guitar’s full body resonance, ART’s ability to faithfully recreate natural tone and dynamics means that the subtle differences between APX and CPX guitars are perfectly recreated, allowing you to pick the guitar that suits your style and know that character will always shine through.

APX’s thin-line body combines incredible comfort, easy top-fret access and a sound perfectly suited to on-stage use with bright, clear mids, balanced highs and controlled lows. Specially designed non-scalloped X-type bracing allows the guitar’s top to sing and maximises the resonance of the unique body shape for a full, natural tone.
