    OVERDRIVE AND SUPER GAIN

    The Blackstar HT-Metal – Valve Distortion Pedal takes gain to the next level. Powered by true 300V high-voltage vacuum tube circuitry this pedal offers cascaded tube gain stages and authentic tube amp response. Two channels and three modes provide extreme versatility. Each ultra-high gain channel offers its own gain and volume controls. Additionally, Channel 1 is equipped with a Clean/Overdrive switch. The three-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) is tied to the patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature), which re-voices the entire tone stack for an expansive tonal range.

    Blackstar HT-Metal – Valve Distortion Pedal ISF Control

    The ISF control works in conjunction with the Tone control. It allows you to choose the exact tone signature you prefer. Fully CCW is a more American characteristic with a tight bottom end and more aggressive middle, and fully CW is a British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive.

    OPERATES AT 300V HT

    The HT pedal operates on a 300V DC anode supply voltage (High Tension voltage). This is the same used in traditional valve amplifier design and means the circuit has the headroom associated with a true valve design and will ‘clean up’ accordingly. The pedal will exhibit the compression and distortion characteristics associated with a true valve design.

    Many hours of research showed us that only soft switching and a buffered bypass signal will give absolutely silent switching in high gain applications.

    SPEAKER EMULATED OUTPUT

    The Blackstar emulated output design is a new benchmark for pro direct recording. This no-compromise design makes it easy to get your tone to disk and tape. You can also use it to run a line out to a PA.
