To address this, the Forty Eighty features a simple front-panel button that allows you to easily switch from a flat mix reference to Hype mode, which emulates a frequency curve common in earbuds and car stereos. Beyond that, experiment with Custom mode, where you can specifically define all parameters of your sound with the M-Audio Studio Control App.
- The M-Audio Studio Control App gives you the power to shape your sound as you like. Access customizable presets and a 5-band EQ to tweak your output to match your room. Access your preferences at the touch of a button via front-panel Instant Listening Modes. The rear-panel trim control lets you dial in the volume of your XLR and TRS analog inputs, to ensure you can integrate these monitors seamlessly into any studio setup.
