The matched pair of Aston Starlight AST-STARLIGHT-SP Condenser Microphone are laser-targeting pencil microphones. They can be used to capture audio, allow for recall of mic positions in the studio, and enable quick setup in live-sound stereo applications. Each Class-2 laser is designed with an on/off switch so that mic positions can be easily replicated on drums and other instruments, making setup a breeze. Featuring Aston’s variable voice-switching technologies for sound-contouring, the microphones are built tough with a sintered, metal head, and a tumbled 100% stainless steel chassis. They are powered by 48V phantom power and use 20mm cardioid capsules.

Laser
The addition of a Class-2 laser with an on/off switch allows you to recall the mics’ positions in the studio, and the setup can be easily replicated. For touring bands, mic positions can be marked off on drums and other instruments, making setup a breeze.

Sintered, Metal Head
The metal head of each mic is tested for size and combined with a nickel plate, which is a few nanometers in thickness, to achieve acoustic porosity. The head is rugged, and can take any amount of studio or live use.

Voice Switching
Each Aston Starlight AST-STARLIGHT-SP Condenser Microphone has three modes of operation, and you can choose between Vintage, Modern, and Hybrid settings to get the right tone response for your applications. The settings have been carefully tuned to give high-quality performance.

Chassis
Aston Starlight AST-STARLIGHT-SP Condenser Microphone utilize 1.5mm solid stainless steel chassis, tumbled for up to 4 hours to achieve a signature finish.

Discrete Mic-Amp Circuit (PCB)
The microphones are equipped with high-spec components to provide an extremely sensitive, low-noise design with plenty of headroom. This allows them to handle quiet or very loud sources without compromising noise or tonal performance.
