When video pros here need to put a handy Zoom recorder to work in the field, we find the ECM-3 capsule extension cable invaluable. The ECM-3 provides you with three meters (just under 10′) of range for your favorite Zoom microphone. A hot shoe mount makes it easy to attach your capsule to the top of your camera or to a remote stand or tripod. You can even mount it on a boom pole, all without sacrificing the monitoring and remote adjustment functions regularly provided by your Zoom microphone or input capsule.
