Combine R1 with our optional BackPack II and you will be able to enjoy R1 away from mains power. Placing batteries inside R1 would steal valuable speaker capacity, but BackPack II allows R1 to retain its rich mains powered performance with the benefit of complete portability.
Beautifully simple, Ruark Audio R1 MK3 Soft Black is ideal for the kitchen, perfect in the office and simply delightful to wake up to in the bedroom and with a quality Bluetooth receiver built in you can wirelessly stream music to R1 from your phone or computer. Most importantly, if you love listening to the radio then we are confident that you’ll find R1 a revelation.
Programme, time and alarm information are shown with vivid clarity on the latest technology OLED display. Clean and stylish, our displays retain their readability at any viewing angle and the brightness can be adjusted to suit your needs, both when active and also in standby.
One of our first projects when establishing Ruark Audio was to design an easy to use control system. The result is our trademark RotoDial controller. With the introduction of Ruark Audio R1 MK3 Soft Black we made our RotoDial controller even better and now whether you own R1, R2, R4 or even R7 you will intuitively know how to use each due to the similarity of their operation.
Combine R1 with our optional BackPack II and you will be able to enjoy R1 away from mains power. Placing batteries inside R1 would steal valuable speaker capacity, but BackPack II allows Ruark Audio R1 MK3 Soft Black to retain its rich mains powered performance with the benefit of complete portability.
A total evolution of the original, BackPack II attaches seamlessly to R1 and once fitted can be left permanently in place as it charges automatically whenever mains power is re-applied. A full charge will provide up to twelve hours of mains free listening depending on volume.
BackPack II is also compatible with our MR1 Bluetooth Speaker System.
