Ortofon OM-5E OM SINGLE Overview

The cartridge body has been designed to provide easy mounting and alignment on both top-mount and bottom-mount headshells.

A tiny, removable weight plate is tucked into the mounting bracket for use with standard tonearms. Or, remove it for a low-mass tonearm, reducing the weight of the cartridge to a mere 2.5 g. Made from a plastic and glass compound, the OM 5E enclosure is lightweight and ensures high rigidity with freedom from resonance. Its computer modeled design improves linearity, leads to higher channel separation, and reduces distortion.
