MXL 990 Overview

Styled in a sea coral finish, this California Edition of the MXL 990 Condenser Microphone with Shockmount and Carrying Case features an FET preamp with balanced output, 6 micron gold-sputtered diaphragm, a cardioid polar pattern, and a 30 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The large-diaphragm microphone can be used to capture audio for working musicians in both digital and analog recording applications.

The MXL 990 delivers a silky sweet high end and retains tight, solid low and midrange reproduction. It is built with an XLR connector and requires 48V phantom power to operate. Offering a natural balanced sound, the MXL 990 remains one of the industry standards for musicians with its vintage body style. Includes a custom shockmount, mic stand adapter, and carrying case.
