JBL has expanded on its hugely successful Constant Beamwidth Technology with the CBT 1000 — the next leap forward in a pattern-controlled, passive loudspeaker perfect for a wide array of performance spaces. Auditoriums, houses of worship, lecture halls, classrooms — just about any conceivable space can be filled with the CBT 1000 and its highly adjustable vertical and horizontal pattern coverage. The CBT 1000 puts you in the driver’s seat when it comes to customizing the direction of the sound it projects, allowing you to essentially “paint” the canvas of each room’s unique shape with beautifully projected sound. Acoustic design at your fingertips
Sound designers know that every room is different when it comes to acoustics. Some can be warm and inviting, others cold and abrasive. The CBT 1000 gives you more control for dealing with difficult spaces by offering asymmetrical coverage settings. The top half of the column consists of six 6-1/2″ full-range drivers that offer a higher concentration of sound with a tight pattern form. The bottom half of the column is made up of six 6-1/2″ low-frequency drivers that put out a wide vertical pattern. This combination provides exceptional front-to-back room coverage. But this is just the beginning. With the CBT 1000, the vertical coverage pattern is individually adjustable via four “Pattern Up” coverage angles and four “Pattern Down” coverage angles for a total of 16 different coverage combinations — no DSP processing required.
