Slim, compact, and designed to fit perfectly into any architectural decor, the CBT 50LA-LS Line Array Column Loudspeaker from JBL sports eight 2″ full-range drivers and maximum power handling of 600W peak, for potent sound reproduction in any retail space, restaurant, conference room, transit hub, home theatre, or other locations. With groundbreaking Constant Beamwidth Technology, the CBT 50LA-LS can accomplish incredibly consistent vertical coverage and constant directivity without the typical narrow vertical beaming and frequency interference patterns that can negatively affect the sound reproduction on straight, passive column speakers.

The CBT 50LA-LS features a built-in transformer with 70 and 100V power taps, as well as support for direct 8-ohm operation, while Dynamic SoniGuard overload protection ensures that peaks will never damage your drivers (or your customer’s ears). The line array is EN54-24 compliant for fire safety alerts, and the column itself is constructed from durable fiberglass-reinforced ABS with UV-resistant paint, and weathertreated drivers for reliable outdoor use. This loudspeaker includes a swivel/tilt wall bracket and an MTC-PC2 terminal panel cover.

Switchable EQ Voicing

The voicing can be set to match the application through the Music/Speech switch, conveniently located on the side of the cabinet. The Music setting provides a flat frequency response, while the Speech setting produces a midrange presence boost to provide clear, intelligible speech even at the longest throw distances.

Potent Full-Range Drivers

The drivers feature dual neodymium magnets for light weight. Copper-capped pole pieces lower both the driver inductance and the flux modulation. This increases high-frequency extension and reduces distortion at high-drive levels. Butyl rubber surrounds provide long life even in high-humidity environments. The drivers are also shielded to avoid interference in environments with lots of EM activity, such as malls and other public spaces.

Built for Demanding Environments

CBT 50LA-LS can be installed either indoors or outdoors. The drivers are weather-treated and the fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet with UV-resistant paint is excellent for outdoor applications. External screws are stainless steel, and the painted aluminum grille resists rusting in the harshest conditions.

Includes Wall Bracket Mount

A swivel pan/tilt wall-mount bracket is included, and ten M6 inserts on the back panel fit the spacing of common mounting brackets, or can be utilized to suspend the speaker using M6 forged shoulder steel eyebolts, providing versatility of installation.
