This model, now built with set-neck construction for smooth access to the highest frets, is available in Black and Black Cherry Metallic finishes, and offers ESP Designed humbucker pickups and TOM-style bridge and tailpiece. This guitar offers aggressive styling in its mahogany body, and includes a three-piece maple neck with roasted jatoba fingerboard and 22 extra-jumbo frets.

In 1975, a new musical instrument shop called Electric Sound Products opened in Tokyo, Japan. In the back of the store was a small area for making custom replacement parts for guitars and basses. Today, ESP’s Custom Shop, Original Series, E-II, Signature and LTD brands make guitars, basses, and cases for every style of music, and are available in more than 100 countries.
