Thanks to its easy USB connectivity and bus powering, the Revolution 2×2 maintains pristine sound quality without compromising convenience. The Revolution’s two mic preamps are accessible via XLR-1/4″ combo jacks, which can handle mics of all kinds (dynamic, ribbon, or condenser), direct instrument connections, or even line-level sources. Adjustable direct monitoring lets you hear the input signal in real time without disruptive latency, and the 1/4″ outputs—one headphone out and a pair of monitor outputs—feature independent volume controls for ideal monitoring through speakers, headphones, or both. In addition to its impressive hardware, the Revolution 2×2 comes with a stellar bundle of software including the PreSonus Studio One Artist DAW and plug-ins from Brainworx, iZotope, and Lindell Audio.

Top-shelf Vishay, Nichicon, and Wima capacitors are used throughout the entire circuit. All internal gain-staging has been optimized for the very lowest signal-to-noise ratio. All the analog I/O has not only been built with the finest components, but are fully decoupled and balanced, right to the very core of the convertor.

Revolution also employs PG-i technology, based on Black Lion Audio’s experience in engineering their best-of-class power conditioners. All power rails are highly filtered in every active stage across Revolution 2×2, something difficult to find even in well-respected, high-end equipment. Power is decoupled across the entire circuit—the preamplifiers, the convertors, the internal power, and even the clock. This significantly helps reduce noise contamination from other equipment that is plugged into Revolution 2×2.
