In celebration of 35 years of success in the guitar building industry, PRS released the S2 Custom 24 35th Anniversary Guitar. This is not merely a commemorative guitar; it is designed to be workhorse guitar for the discerning pro guitar player. This Custom 24 has the two mini toggle switches for individual coil splitting of its two humbuckers, as featured in the Paul’s Guitar and the 408; yielding more possible pickup configurations which make this already versatile guitar even more versatile.
The 85/15 S pickups are of vintage heritage, but also pack enough power to handle modern music styles. In single coil mode, these humbuckers have twang and body, without much volume disparity from the humbuckers. The S2 Custom 24 35th Annniversary also has a “Pattern Regular” neck profile which is commonly seen on USA Core models; known as the “just right” neck shape that suits players of all styles and sizes. The quintessential Custom 24 components are of course present, like the Mahogany neck and body with Maple top, PRS Patented Tremolo System, and PRS Locking tuners. The commemorative truss rod cover is also a reminder that this guitar is an embodiment of the success and innovation of PRS for the past 35 years.
