Perfectly replicating a classic swirly phaser from the experimental depths of the ’70s, the Mutation Phasor II from Warm Audio is a vintage-style electro-optical phaser pedal designed to add depth, wobble, and instant funk to guitars, basses, and keyboards. Sporting a potent adjustable feedback circuit as well as depth and rate controls, you can achieve wide phasing with a rate between 1 and 18 Hz, for everything from rich, warm tone to waves of psychedelic sound.

The Mutation Phasor II is constructed from premium electronic components to match the original as closely as possible, including classic RC4558P op-amps, vintage-style diodes, hand-selected film capacitors, and carbon resistors, all inside a durable, road-worthy steel case with a classic look. This pedal can operate on either a 9V battery or a 9 VDC power adapter.

A ’70s Legend for Experimentation

Add depth, wobble, swirl, or instant funk to guitar, keys, bass, or anything you can dream of. The Mutation Phasor II accurately recreates the deep phase-shifting psychedelic modulation of the original phaser made famous in studios during the 1970s.

Maximum Depth

For ultrarich swirly phase-shifting, the Depth control allows you to vary the width of the sweep range, delivering the deep modulation expected from a vintage all-analog pedal. Increasing the depth control adds width to the frequency range of the effect, impacting higher highs and lower lows.

Rate Switch

Easily change the speed (or rate) of the phase-shifting effect to create more or less wobble in your tone—from one-tenth-rate sweeps (slowest) to 18 sweeps per second (fastest).

Feedback

Increasing the feedback control adds electric feedback to the wet phase-shifting signal. As the feedback level is raised, the pedal creates a more intense phase sound with a particular emphasis on the sweeps. This is especially noticeable at slower rate settings.
